1. Scope and operator
This policy applies to starsandmischief.com, the public Stars & Mischief marketing website, and messages sent to the site’s support, general-contact and privacy email addresses. The website is operated by RumseyLab, LLC.
This website policy does not cover the Stars & Mischief mobile app or beta-test accounts. App-specific policies and disclosures must be reviewed against the released app before its public release. This website does not provide app sign-in or a customer-data dashboard.

2. Information involved when you use the website
Website visits. We use Cloudflare to serve and secure the website. As part of delivering pages and protecting against abuse, Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP address, device/browser information, request time, requested pages and security-event details. These are service and security functions and may involve provider-managed logs or necessary cookies.
Messages you choose to send. When you email [email protected], [email protected], or [email protected], we receive your email address, message, and any information you include. We use Proton Mail to provide those mailboxes. Please do not email passwords, sign-in codes, invitation links, or private photographs.
No account or mailing-list form on this site. The marketing website itself does not offer registration, store payment, newsletter subscription or file upload. It does not deliberately collect Constellation content, account credentials or in-app relationship activity through its pages.
3. How information is used
We use website-related information to deliver and protect the site, respond to inquiries, maintain reasonable operational records and meet applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell information you provide through our website contact addresses, and we do not use the website to build advertising profiles about your relationships. We do not intentionally add third-party advertising pixels or behavioral-advertising trackers to the current website.
Cloudflare may provide its own infrastructure-level security or diagnostic processing. Any optional website analytics introduced later will be evaluated and this notice updated as appropriate.
4. Service providers and other disclosures
We use Cloudflare for website delivery and security and Proton Mail for our email service. Their systems process information as needed for these functions, subject to their applicable terms and practices. We may also disclose information when required by law or where appropriate to protect the service or the rights and safety of people.
Links that eventually open the Apple App Store or Google Play will take you to those platforms, which have their own privacy practices. The currently displayed store tiles are informational until authentic public listing URLs are available.
5. Retention and security
We use the following standard retention periods for correspondence and records under RumseyLab’s control:
- General support and business inquiries: ordinarily kept for 12 months after the last substantive interaction.
- Privacy and account-deletion requests: related email correspondence and restricted case-handling records are ordinarily kept for 24 months after the case is closed, to document how a request was handled.
We review records for secure deletion after their applicable retention period. We may retain particular records longer where required by law, necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, or needed for a documented active dispute or legal preservation obligation. Once that exception no longer applies, we review the records for deletion.
These periods concern RumseyLab’s copies of correspondence and case records. Cloudflare’s infrastructure and security logs, Proton’s provider-managed records, and copies awaiting normal backup expiration may follow different retention schedules. We cannot delete records controlled independently by those providers except through available provider controls and applicable rights processes.
We apply reasonable administrative and technical protections and restrict who can handle contact correspondence. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices and privacy requests
You can choose not to email us. If you have already contacted us, you may ask to access, correct or delete personal information in our correspondence, subject to applicable law and any legitimate retention obligations.

For mobile-app accounts or beta-test data, contact [email protected]. The app-specific deletion workflow and disclosures are separate from this website privacy policy.
7. International use and age
Service providers may process data in the United States or other jurisdictions where they operate. Additional protections or rights may apply depending on your location and the relevant law.
Stars & Mischief is intended for adults aged 18 or older. Our website is not directed at minors. If you believe a minor has provided personal information to us, please contact our privacy address.
